MARRIAGE

Fr. Gerard Finucane officiated at the marriage of Elaine daughter of Donal and Peggy O’ Shea of Canuig and Garda Anthony Wharton in Our Lady of The Valley Church Cillin Liath on Friday December 15th. Mairead O’ Shea was Chief Bridesmaid with Bridesmaids Patricia O’ Shea, Niamh O’ Connor and Deirdre Ni Riordain. Aidan Joy and Donal O’ Sullivan were Best men with Groomsmen Keith Wharton and Kevin McCarthy. Kayla Wharton was the pretty Flower girl and Fionan Brain Pageboy. Music was by Selena O’ Connell and the Greene sisters. The reception was held in the Oaks Hotel Killarney. We wish the newlyweds a long and happy life together

CONCERT

A large audience enjoyed the “Christmas Show 2017” staged by the pupils of St. Finian’s N.S. in the Lodge Hotel on Thursday December 21st. Several sponsored prizes were raffled and won, and Principal Gearoid thanked all those involved.

DEATH

Sincere sympathy to Gearoid Moran, Principal St. Finian’s N.S. on the death of his uncle John Moran formerly of Bunavalla Caherdaniel who has died in Donegal. Suaimhneas siorai da anam dilis.

NEW YEAR’S EVE

Waterville are holding their 4th Annual New Year’s Eve Street on December 31st from 8pm. Come along to our party hosted by DJ Agers, ring in the New Year with an array of local bands, kids entertainment and face painting, dancing in the street and more, making it a great night of family fun!

The annual Jacqui Fitzgerald Memorial walk/fun run will be held on 31/12/17 at 12 noon (Registration from 11am) on New Year’s Eve at the community centre. Adults €10, Children €5- All proceeds to Kerry Hospice Foundation.
