Minors honoured at awards night
THE North Kerry Board Coiste-nanOg Awards night in association with McElligotts Oil, Asdee was held last Thursday in Christy’s The Well.
The guests of honour were our three victorious Kerry minors from the district, Adam O’Donoghue (Castleisland Desmonds), Barry Mahony (St. Senans) and Eddie Browne (Listowel Emmets).
John Ross vice-chairman, made a presentation to the players on behalf of the North Kerry Football Board to mark their contribution towards the historic four-in-a-row Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Championship victories.
Kerry Minors Adam O’Donoghue and Eddie Browne then proceeded to present the man-ofthe-match awards to the 8 winning recipients as follows:
U-14 North Kerry League Division 1:

In-service Referees Meeting
ALL North Kerry referees are asked to attend an Inservice Referees meeting in Christys, The Well, Listowel on Wednesday, January 17 at 8pm. It is vitally important that all referees attend.
AGM
CAN clubs please submit Motions and Nominations before Wednesday, January 17 at 12 noon, for the 2018 AGM which will take place on Wednesday, January 24 at 8pm in Christys The Well Listowel.
Senior Leagues
WE are back into football action a week earlier than normal this year with the Senior Leagues, sponsored by McCarthy Insurance Listowel, starting on Sunday, January 28. This will take in Division 1A & 1B and Division 2.
North Kerry Senior Division 1 Leagues (first named team at home) Sunday, January 28
Division 1A Round 1, 12 noon
St Senans v Brosna
Ballyduff v Tarbert
Division 2 Round 1, 12 noon Duagh v Asdee Ballylongford v Moyvane Sunday, February 11
Division 1B Round 1, 12 noon Ballydonoghue v Listowel Emmets Castleisland Desmonds v Finuge
Semi-finals the top two teams in the League table, in Division 1A and Division 1B will qualify for the semi-final with 1A v 2B and 2A v 1B. Semi-final positions in Division 1 and Division 2 of the North Kerry Senior Leagues for 2018 will be determined by League Table scoring difference. Fixtures fulfilled will be taken into account when deciding placing, where teams finish level on points.
The bottom team on league points in both Divisions 1A and Division 1B will play-off the looser is relegated to Division 2 with the winner of Division 2 automatically promoted in the place of the team being relegated from Division 1
In the event of teams finishing level on points, the team with most fixtures fulfilled will be promoted. In the event of teams finishing level on points, the team with least fixtures fulfilled will be relegated.
The top team on the Division 2 table will automatically qualify for the final, the 2nd and 3rd teams placed on the League table will qualify for the semi-final.

The winners of Division 2 will automatically gain promotion to Division 1 replacing the team being relegated to Division 2. There will be no relegation/promotion between Division 2 and Division 3.
