Camp retain unbeaten record
O’DONOGHUE RING HOTELS UNDER 15 Premier
SOMETHING had to give in the Premier as the two unbeaten sides at the top of the table met.
Camp Juniors topped the table after six wins from six games while Killorglin had won their three games. Indeed this Killorglin side have not lost a game for a number of season having won the younger leagues.
But it was the home side that took the win in a tight game.
At Camp the game was scoreless at half time but two Maurice O’Connell goals won it in the second half.
The first came from a tap in following an Oisin Smailes pinpoint cross. His second was a bullet header from an excellent Kian Clancy corner.
Division 1
BALLYHAR now have fifteen points from their five league games and are top of the division. A Brian Burke hat-trick and one each from Aaron O’Shea, Stephen Palmer and James Horgan saw the boys from Murt Scott Park defeat Killarney Athletic 6-0.
Tralee Dynamos move into second place following their 2-1 away win at Killorglin B. Their goals came from Patrick Moravski and Sean Horan.
Listowel Celtic moved up the table thanks to two late goals in a 2-0 win over Fenit. Dylan Quinn and Daragh Carey both scored for the home side inside the last ten minutes.
Division 2
RATTOO Rovers have made it five wins from five and now have a six-point gap at the top of the table but have played one more game than the teams around them.
Emmet Kelly, Seam McGrath, Darragh Quinlan and Aaron McCabe got the goals for the winners with Mark Manning replying for Dingle Bay Rovers.
The West Kerry side could have been much close only for the heroics of Adam Farrell in the Rovers goals who made at least outstanding saves.
Windmill United defeated Listowel Celtic Girls 4-2 to move up the table. Thomas O’Sullivan got two and Adam Murphy and Dylan Barry got one each in the win. Aisling Kelly and Aoife O’Connor scored for the Celtic Girls.
