DEFENDING champions and table toppers Killarney Athletic dropped 2 more points at Woodlawn being held to a draw by Castleisla­nd. They had to come from behind twice but looked set to win when they went ahead 3-2 but Castleisla­nd managed a late equaliser to secure a point. Sean Cournane, William Courtney and Paulie O’Donoghue scored for Athletic and Barry Lynch, Michael Walsh and Tommy Feehan scored for Castleisla­nd.

Tralee Dynamos 0 Fenit Samphires 3

FENIT stay in touch with the title contenders after a good win over Tralee Dynamos. Ben Warren (2) and Daniel Clinton scored.

DENNY PREMIER B Tralee Celtic 3 AC Athletic 2

A GREAT John Farraghar hat trick gave table toppers Tralee Celtic the 3 points in a good competitiv­e game where they had to work hard to win against a spirited AC side. Conor Diggin and Jordan Brick scored for AC. Celtic are now 11 points clear at the summit of the division.

Camp United 0 Killorglin 4

KILLORGLIN moved up to second in the table with a comfortabl­e win over Camp United. They went ahead in the 18th minute when Johnny Carey scored from the penalty spot and it was 1-0 at the break. They doubled their lead six minutes into the second half with a Liam Carey goal. Further goals in the 60th minute from Liam Carey (penalty) and sub Paul McKenna gave the mid Kerry side a comfortabl­e win at the end.

Castleisla­nd B 3 Mitchels Avenue 3

THERE was a lot at stake in this game and at the end of an exciting contest they had to settle for a share of the spoils. Castleisla­nd started with six players under 19 and while they were happy with a point they thought they done enough to have obtained all three points. Ben Cooney (2) and Tomas Lynch scored for Castleisla­nd while David Courtney, Graham O’Leary and Lorcan Seymour scored for Mitchels Avenue.

Rattoo Rovers 2 CSKA Tralee 2

THIS game was between two sides that are badly in need of points and a draw was not a satisfacto­ry outcome for either side. Maurice Dowling and Paul Carroll scored for Rattoo Rovers and Mike Griffin got both of CSKA’s goals.

DENNY DIVISION 1A CG Killarney 5 Sporting Listowel 3

CG Killarney’s consistent run of form continued with a comfortabl­e win over Sporting Listowel. John Foley was the top markesman for the winners scoring a hat trick while Joe Hurley and Tadhg Fleming completed the scoring for the winners with the assists coming from Dave Keirns, John Foley, Conor Collins, Mike Griffin and Joe Donovan. Their best players on the day were Gordan Buckley, Johnny Murphy, and Gary Cassidy. Mike Stack, Chris Lyons and Paul O’Connor scored for Sporting Listowel.

Ballyhar Dynamos 1 Inter Kenmare B 1

BALLYHAR’S steady run of form continued with a draw against Inter Kenmare. Ballyhar went ahead in the 40th minute with a Rafa Sync goal but Dara Siochru equalised for Inter Kenmare in the 70th minute to secure a point. Best for Ballyhar were Pat Browne, Kevin O’Sullivan, Dan O’Shea, Ed Kerrisk, Diarmuid Brosnan, Luke Fitzgerald, Nial McCarthy and Diarmuid O’Mahony.

Ballyheigu­e Athletic 2 Atletico Ardfert 1

BALLYHEIGU­E enhanced their title aspiration­s with a good win over Athletico Ardfert. Kevin Walsh and Kieran O’Connor scored for the seasiders.

DENNY DIVISION 1B Castlemain­e United 4 Castlegreg­ory 0

THIS was the shock of the day in this division with Castlemain­e United decisively defeating title contenders Castlegreg­ory. Their star performer on the day was Cathal Moriarty who bagged a hat trick with Padraig O’Brien scoring the other goal for the Launesider­s.

Mastergeeh­a B 2 Asdee Rovers 3

ASDEE Rovers took full advantage of Castlegreg­ory’s slip up against Castlemain­e with a good win over Mastergeeh­a. They had to work hard for their win coming from behind twice to clinch victory.

Eamon Leahy (2) and Peter McMahon scored for the winners while James Nagle scored both of Mastergeeh­e’s goals.

Listowel Celtic B 7 Annascaul/Inch Utd 0

LISTOWEL Celtic remain in a strong position in the title race after an easy win over Annascual/Inch United. Stephen McCarthy and Liam of Connor both scored a brace of goals while Jack Sheehan, Marius Jurka and Brendan Angland completed the scoring for the Fealesider­s.

Killarney Athletic B 2 Windmill United 3

WINDMILL United stay in touch with the leading posse after a hard earned win over Killarney Athletic B. Brendan Savage (2) and Paudie Bailey scored for the Blennervil­le side while Brian O’Reilly and Darren Mulcahy scored for Athletic.
