THE Tech Amergin Community Education & Arts Centre in Waterville will host an open evening on Friday, January 19th from 6 to 9pm. This is an ideal opportunit­y for people in the locality to explore the full range of options available to them and to enjoy the benefits that come with acquiring new skills and knowledge.

It’s the perfect time of year to absorb yourself in a course while awaiting the stretch in the evening again and Tech Amergin offer a selection of day and evening courses where you can choose from a selection of QQI certified courses ranging from level-3 up to level-6. The subject areas are: Furniture Making, Painting, Collage Techniques, Ceramics, Book Keeping, Word Processing, Digital Photograph­y, Woodwork, Childcare, Nutrition, First Aid Responder, and Healthcare. There really is something to suit every interest and personal taste.

Moreover, the centre also offer a large number of non-accredited courses and workshops in Exercise and Fitness, Mindfulnes­s, Mosaic, Art and Design, Knitting and Crochet, Pottery, Woodwork, Adobe light-room, Creative Writing, Creative Movement and Dance (‘teacht le cheile’), and much more besides.
