SYMPATHY is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Timothy (Taidhgeen) O’Sullivan, Bouliculla­ne, Farranfore. The removal was from O’Connor’s Funeral Home to Firies Church and after Requiem Mass on Wednesday to St Michael’s Cemetery, Killeentie­rna.

The death has occurred of Maria O’Sullivan (nee Egan), Rathass, Tralee. She is predecease­d by her husband, Dan (late of Dromore, Farranfore).

Sympathy is extended to her family, relatives and friends.

TEAMS - On saturday last our u15s had a good 6-0 home win at murt scott park v killarney Athletic. Brian Burke chipped in with a hat trick and one each from Aaron O Shea ,Stephen Palmer and James Horgan earned the three points. Others to perform well Michael Brosnan, Lachlan Griffin ,Peter Cosgrave & Harry Byrne.

On Sunday at the same venue our seniors picked up another point with a 1-1 draw against Inter Kenmare.We took the lead on 40 minutes with an excellent strike by Rafa Syc. Inter equalised on 70 minutes to take a share of the points. Best on the day in a good team Performanc­e were Maurice O Donoghue, Kevin O sullivan, Padraig O connor ,Diarmuid Brosnan & Padraig Shanahan.

FIRIES COMMUNITY GAMES

Last weekend was a very busy weekend in Community Games calendar. The u13 boys and girls co Finals took place.

On Saturday it was the girls finals and as usual this was a very competitiv­e event. Well done to the Firies team who won bronze medals. Thank you to the trainers Mags Kelly & Joanne O Mahony and to Caroline Kennedy for managing the team. Congratula­tions to team of Laura Power, Aoife O Sullivan, Michaela O Meara, Laura Flynn, Doireann O Shea, Katie Doe, Louise Kennedy, Orna O Leary, Claire McCarthy and Orna Cornelly.

Then on Sunday it was the boys turn and this was also a very busy competitio­n. Well done to our boys from Firies who played well but did not reach the semi final stages.Well done to team of Rian Brosnan, Luke Costello, Michael Fitzgerald, Robert Kelly, Noah Moynihan, Jack O Keefe, Daithi O Shea, Simon O Leary, Michael O Sullivan, Colm Riardon and thank you to Brid O Connor for training the team and Valerie O Shea for managing the team.
