TRACTOR RUN

There was a huge turnout for the now very successful James Ashe Memorial Tractor run which took place on Sunday last. Over 100 tractors took part in the run and many more of this fantastic group of fundraisers took to the roads with buckets. James Ashe (RIP) did huge fundraising over the years for many Cancer Services along with the Anvil group. The Ashe family along with the gang have continued his great work and the tractor run is now a hugely successful day out. The whole community were out in force on Sunday and it was great to see the huge support. Well done and thank you to the Ashe family, all who organised this great event and all continue to support the Palliative Care Unit/ Kerry Hospice Foundation.

Also to all the people who took part in the run, who volunteered along the way, who held buckets or supported the event in any way we thank you. We look forward to next year and another fantastic day out.

COAST CAFE, BALLYBUNION

A huge thank you to Cliodhna Kiely and Eileen Kiely from Coast Cafe in Ballybunion. They handed over a cheque this week for €510 which was the proceeds of their In Memory Tree. They had a tree over Christmas in the cafe and sold baubles in which you could add the name of a person for the memory tree. This was a lovely idea and a very special way to remember loved ones for the time of year. A huge thank you to all in Coast Cafe for thinking of Kerry Hospice for this very special event, also to the many who supported this we are so very grateful for the support.

BUSY 2018

2018 is going to be a busy one and let’s not forget our pledge of €500,000 to keep all the Palliative Services and the new Inpatient Unit going.

We are so grateful to all who continue to organise events and also to those who support in any way.
