Rotary Club on mission to save lives

-

TRALEE Rotary Club has launched its ‘Just One Life’ programme in recent days with a special event at The Imperial Hotel last week.

The club and Kerry County Council have joined forces with Gardaí, the Red Cross, and the county’s Fire Department to present the unique, community-based road-safety programme – which is aimed at young people, and particularly transition-year students – to Tralee.

The objective of the initiative is to save young drivers’ lives by demonstrating the common causes of accidents to 15-to-17-yearold students in a practical, easy-to-understand manner.

Following on for the recent launch, the Tralee Rotary Club will host the event on Friday, March 9, between 11am and 1pm, at Mercy Mounthawk Secondary School.

All transition year students are invited to the event, and each student will also get a Certificate of Participation on the day.

Further information is available from the programme co-ordinator at 087 2399940.
