All systems go at launch of Lip Sync Castleisland

-

THE official launch of Lip Sync Battle Castleisland took place on Friday night in Tom McCarthy’s Bar.

“Excitement levels are steadily rising in anticipation for the biggest show in town. It’s now less than three weeks away from the second running of the event which is taking place on Friday, March 2, in the Castleisland Community Centre,” said Castleisland AFC spokesman, Neil O’Sullivan.

“The launch night gave contestants their first taste of the Lip Sync spotlight as they posed for their group photos in front of a large audience.

“Last year’s event was a fantastic success with 11 acts battling it out to be crowned Lip Sync champions in front of a crowd of over 1000 people.

“There were some unforgettable acts on the night including: The Mad Ones; Mommy’s Boys; Soccer Moms and the two winners Steve and The Islanders to name a few.

“This year 12 acts have signed up to battle it out to become Castleisland’s number one Lip Sync act and with the production company Lip Sync Battles Ireland and choreographer Cassie Leane booked again we are in for a repeat or maybe even better night than last year.

“Tickets are expected to sell out fast again this year so buy early to avoid disappointment. After the show there will be a disco until late and a full bar service will be available before, during and after the show.

“All funds raised will go toward the Castleisland AFC and Castleisland Community College joint building of an All Weather Astro Pitch which is a badly needed facility in the town.

“One final push and the support of the local businesses and local people will make the pitch a reality late in 2018.

“Local businesses still have time to advertise their services in the Lip Sync Battle programme and on the big screen on the night.

Tickets for the show will once again be on sale at a cost of €20 and will guarantee you an entertaining night at one of the biggest productions every witnessed in the town of Castleisland,” said Neil with great assurance.

Tickets are due to go on sale at the end of the week and a full list of outlets selling the tickets will be listed on the Facebook page from this week onwards.
