Play­ers ar­rive in force for Páidí’s Comór­tas Peile

GAA play­ers from Kerry to Korea are ex­pected for a feast of foot­ball over this com­ing week­end as they ar­rive to take part in Comór­tas Páidí Ó Sé.

The week­end’s events starts on Fri­day with a bar­be­cue and wel­com­ing party, while Satur­day morn­ing will see the first o f the com­pet­i­tive games. This is the 29th year of the tour­na­ment which started as a four team event. In­spired by the great man him­self the com­pe­ti­tion has gone from strength to strength and this year will bring more than 1,200 GAA play­ers to West Kerry.

On Sun­day, Paidí Ó Sé’s pub will host the player of the tour­na­ment awards at 5.30pm as well as an exhibition of images en­ti­tled ‘An Fórsa’, re­fer­ring to the con­nec­tion be­tween the images and the most re­cent Star Wars film which was partly filmed in West Kerry.
