Players arrive in force for Páidí’s Comórtas Peile

GAA players from Kerry to Korea are expected for a feast of football over this coming weekend as they arrive to take part in Comórtas Páidí Ó Sé.

The weekend’s events starts on Friday with a barbecue and welcoming party, while Saturday morning will see the first o f the competitive games. This is the 29th year of the tournament which started as a four team event. Inspired by the great man himself the competition has gone from strength to strength and this year will bring more than 1,200 GAA players to West Kerry.

On Sunday, Paidí Ó Sé’s pub will host the player of the tournament awards at 5.30pm as well as an exhibition of images entitled ‘An Fórsa’, referring to the connection between the images and the most recent Star Wars film which was partly filmed in West Kerry.
