Celtic aim to bounce back straight away

-

MUNSTER JUNIOR CUP (Last 16) Waterford Crystal v Killarney Celtic Saturday, February 17 Waterford, 2pm

LICKING their wounds from last Sunday’s defeat Killarney Celtic make the journey to the south east on Sunday where they meet Waterford Crystal in the last sixteen of the Munster Junior Cup.

Celtic have been very impressive in the competition to date and will be hoping they can bounce back and earn their ticket in the quarter-final of the provincial competition. In their path to this stage of the competition they beat Mastergeeha 5-0 in the first round. They had a tough test in second round and defeated Castleisland 2-1.

Dingle were their opponents in third the round and won 4-0. They hosted Desmond League side Ballingarry in the fourth round and won 7-2.

Not too much is known about the opposition on Sunday, but they come from a huge catchment area so they should be a very formidable side. However, Celtic are a side that can always pick themselves up after a setback and they will go into this game with high hopes.

Brendan Falvey will be back again for this game which will strengthen their rearguard. It should be a close game and Celtic are well capable of coming away with a win if they play up to scratch.
