DINGLE Bay Rovers made light work of their clash with the Premier A Champions with a thumping 6-1 win ending KiIllarney Athletic’s unbeaten run of nine games.

Paudie Quinn stole the show for the winners with a hat-trick, while Joe Sheehy and Donnacha Higgins also scored for the West Kerry side.

Their other goal was an own goal. Dingle are second in the table on 19 points with Athletic and Castleisla­nd just three points behind table toppers Killarney Celtic.

THIS was a game both sides needed to win to enhance their league final prospects and in a tight game it was Castleisla­nd who took the honours Colin McCarthy got the match winning goal for the islanders who have a chance of qualifying for the league decider if they can continue to etch out results like this against the other title contenders.

MAINEBANK move up to joint second in the table with Spa Road after a comfortabl­e win over bottom of the table Lisard Wanderers. Colm O’Neill, Jonathan Regan and Cian Flynn scored for the winners.

GREYHOUND BAR CUP Windmill United 2 Castleisla­nd B 1

THIS was a good cup tie with Windmill United upsetting the apple cart with an impressive win over Castleisla­nd. Gary Savage scored both of Windmill’s goals while Ethan Brosnan scored for Castleisla­nd.

DENNY UNDER 17 LEAGUE Rattoo Rovers 6 Listowel Celtic 3

THIS game provided excellent entertainm­ent value with Rattoo Rovers claiming the three points in a high scoring game. Cian McGrath got to take the match ball home after scoring a hat-trick, while Barry O’Neill, James Donegan amd Nathan McGrath were also on the scoreboard for the Ballyduff side.

Ballyhar Dynamos 0 Tralee Dynamos 6

TRALEE Dynamos were too strong for Ballyhar and won this game easily.

Adi Cenali (2), Leo Gaxha (2), Junior Ankomah and Patrick Dowling scored for the winners.

This win takes Dynamos up to second place in the table. Best for Ballyhar were Harry Doody, Martin Foley, Conor O’Sullivan and Liam Maloney.
