2-17 Gneeveguilla 2-4 Another sound performance from the seniors and in the process registering a credible tally along the way.Gneeveguilla fielded a young team and were without a number of regulars as were the Legion but the home side were using their advantage in experience to telling effect.A resolute defence gave little away and the Legion had a decided advantage at midfield which meant a steady supply of quality ball to the forwards.A deflected 45 from Gneeveguilla ended up in the Legion net but brought an immediate response when Alan Moriarty replied with a goal which was the result of some very good support play.Credit too to Conor Keane who despite things not going his way at times persevered and ended up giving a master class in point taking from all distances and angles,bagging another goal for good measure.While manager James O Sullivan will be happy with the performance and application he almost certainly will have plans for further progress.Next up is a trip to Rathbeg against Rathmore.
