BANK OF IRELAND MUNSTER JUNIOR CUP Castleisland 0 Kilfeacle 25
KILFEACLE had too much power for Castleisland at the Crageens last Sunday. The away side are operating in Division One of the Munster Junior League and Castleisland side had no answer to the visitors strength and pace. Kilfeacle hit Castleisland for four tries and dominated in the set piece.
Castleisland’s cause wasn’t helped when Willie Casey picked up an ankle injury in the warm up and couldn’t take part in the game. The first half was a scrappy enough affair , and finished at 0-0 ,but Castleisland were the happier side to go in on even terms.
It was a different story in the second period as Kilfeacle struck for two early tries, and midway through the half Mike Bawn O’Sullivan received a red card after an incident with a Kilfeacle player. A minute later Kieran Downey saw yellow, and the sin bin, and Castleisland found themselves down to 13 players.
Kilfeacle hit the home side for two further tries as their challenge waned, and the Tipperary side marched on to the next round of the competition.
