Hats tipped to Aghadoe Heights at 2018 IHF Quality Employers Awards

THE Aghadoe Heights Hotel was one of seven businesses in the hotel and guest-house sector acknowledg­ed for its excellence in human resource manager in recent days, as the Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) named the winners at its 2018 national Quality Employers Awards.

At the prize ceremony in Cavan, Minister Brendan Griffin TD had the honour of passing on an award to an establishm­ent from his home county as he bestowed a certificat­e ON the hotel’s General Manager Niall Coffey and Human Resource Manager Bríd Brennan. The ceremony coincided with the federation’s 80th annual conference, and Aghadoe won its award in a category for medium-sized businesses in what was the fourth year of the prestigiou­s prizes.

Congratula­ting the winners, IHF Chief Executive Tim Fenn praised Aghadoe Heights for outstandin­g welcome and cus- tomer service levels and for commitment “to investing in their staff and to develop- ing young people through a wide range of training and education and the provision of structured career paths for employees across all areas of their business”.
