THE North Kerry side have genuinely been more competitive in

recent years with John Kennedy a near perennial figure in charge of the team. A semi-final appearance in the old Novice Championship in 2015 (prior to the 2016 changes) where they lost to eventual winners St Senans remains their best showing in recent Club Championships after their surprise Novice Shield win of 2013 allowed them to go on and win the Knockaderry Tournament in West Limerick afterwards. Might fancy their chances of making the Top 4 in this new format but promotion still not really in their capability you feel.
