Tralee track meetings are coming thick and fast

THE race meetings are coming thick and fast at Tralee this week, following the cancellation of three meetings last week because of weather conditions, and there will, in fact, be four meetings from this Thursday night to Saturday night, with obvious pride of place going to the GMHD juvenile classic meeting this Friday night.

Later on in the month, two important sweepstakes will get under way, the first of them being the John and Mary Killeacle Dowling A1 570 Sweepstake which starts on Friday, March 23.

Saturday, March 31, will see the start of a 325yds sweepstake for coursing bred greyhounds and this carries sponsorship from William Costello Construction.

Into April, the Lee Strand A3 550 Sweepstake will start on Friday, the 21st, and it is hoped to have a particularly big entry of 72.

Quite a target that, is it not?
