Natalie rises to the photo challenge

-

WEDDINGS can be a challenge for photographers even under ordinary circumstances, but spare a thought for Natalie Maher whose recent job capturing the nuptials of Ger O’Donoghue and Juliette Fleming in Castleisland took place slap bang in the middle of Storm Emma!

Tralee native Natalie, who now lives in Brosna, had to travel back to stay in her parents’ home the night before the red alert to ensure she would make it to the church on time.

The Kerryman reported on the difficulties the families faced making the church in the height of Storm Emma last week - particularly those faced by Ger’s extended family who flew in from Chicago.

But Natalie had her own ordeal, one she met with dedication. “It was certainly a morning of adventure as I had to be driven to Leamydoody, Cordal in a 4x4. There were a few scary moments on the roads but the day went amazingly and I couldn’t have being happier with the Winter Wonderland that greeted the couple at Ross Castle!”

Her stunning shot on the front of our North Kerry edition last week said it all.
