THE Kerry Education and Training Board has officially launched its strategy for the next five years.

KETB’s 2018 to 2022 strategy framework was unveiled by Minister for Tourism and Sport Brendan Griffin at the Cappanlea Outdoor and Education Training Centre on Friday.

The document sets out the strategic direction for the KETB for the next five years and it aims to promote a shared vision across all of the board’s programmes, centres, colleges, schools and services based on nine specific goals that range from the development of new partnerships and education innovation to marketing, branding and communication.

Implementation of the strategy and its goals will be measured annually.

“I am confident that the strategic goals set out in the Strategy Statement are grounded in the organisation’s core values of respect, learning, quality, inclusion and equality and set out a clear strategic path for their development until,” said KETB CEO Colm McEvoy.

“The KETB is a large geographically dispersed organisation with over 1,100 staff, delivering education and training programmes from our twenty eight centres to over 15,000 people annually. Our annual budget is in excess of €52 million making the ETB a key contributor the local economy,” Mr McEvoy said.
