SOMETHING had to give when the two unbeaten sides met at Celtic Park.

And it was Killarney Celtic Green that took the win and the three points in a 3-0 win over Inter Kenmare Blue. Killarney Celtic Green took the lead midway through the first half through Aideen O’Brien and that was the only score of a tight first half.

Celtic Green took that momentum into the second half and doubled their advantage when Fiadhna Bradley scored following a good team move.

Both sides then went all out for the next goal and it was the same Celtic player who scored to wrap up the three points and open that gap at the top of the table,.

Fenit moved up the table with a 3-1 win over Inter Kenmare White.

Lilly Novak, Meave Trant and Shauna Harris got the goals for the winners who also had a big performance from Aoife O’Brien.

IT’S a score line that you don’t often see in the league, but the game between The Park and Iveragh United it ended 0-0 leaving both sides where they started the day in mid-table.

Division 1

THE top of this division is very tight and the 3-3 draw between Killarney Celtic B and Castleisland means that the Hoops now move onto seventeen points and a one point lead over Listowel Celtic.

However, the North Kerry side now have a game in hand. Castleisland’s point keeps them well in touch as they remain third on fourteen points.

Eamon Guiney for two and Jack Tagney one scored for Celtic.
