BAILE MHUIRE DAY CARE CENTRE FOR OLDER PERSONS

‘FUNDS raised from this year’s Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle will help make it possible to provide additional full Day Care services to an additional twelve to fifteen older people as well as building a new facility to help those suffering from Stroke, Early Dementia and MS.’ Baile Mhuire Day Care Centre helps older people in the Tralee and surrounding area to retain their dignity and independence by remaining in their own homes or community for as long as possible. We provide a full range of services from paramedical, personal and nursing care including showers and dressings, physiotherapy, chiropody, hairdressing and reflexology sessions. Healthy, nutritious food is cooked on site and social activities and exercise programmes form an essential part of the Centre’s daily programme. Transport is provided through a combination of our own accessible vehicles and a pilot Social Car Scheme. Help us to extend our Day Care facility this year and make our services accessible to an additional 12 to 15 older people suffering from Stroke, MS and Early Dementia.
