DEATH:

Sincere sympathy to our Postman Tim on the death of his uncle, Christian Brother Maurice Bernard Keating, formerly of New Street Cahircivee­n and Zambia whose Funeral Mass and burial were celebrated in Dublin on Thursday March 8th also to Tim’s parents Bud and Sheila and Aunt Lucy Balfe. Helen chaired the I.C.A. monthly meeting in Ionad na Dromoda on Monday March 5th. Nurse Mary Molloy spoke on Women’s health issues and distribute­d informativ­e leaflets on same. Mary Mahony and Noreen Hogan won Raffle prizes. Lily and Helen won the Bingo session. Birthday greetings were extended to May Joe on celebratin­g her 70th. Buiochas le Kathleen, Catherine and Peggy for a lovely supper and to “Cailin Gaelach” Eibhlin for pencils. Next meeting on Monday April 9th le cunamh De.

ANNUAL MASS

Annual mass in memory of all who lost their lives due to drowning in the south kerry area takes place on Friday 16th March 7.30pm Daniel O Connell Memorial Church, Cahersivee­n

MEMORIAL CYCLE

The second John O/Shea Memorial Charity Cycle takes place on Sunday 18th March 2018. It will start and finish in Ionad na Dromoda. Registrati­on at 10am– starting the cycle at 11am. There are two routes 45km and 70km. All monies raised go to the Irish Pilgrimage Trust Group 135 who take children with special needs to Lourdes at Easter.
