KILCUMMIN HOSPICE WALK

The annual Good Friday hospice walk will leave the Recreation Hall, Kilcummin at 10.30am on Friday 30th March. There will be a choice of two walks, 4km or 8km. The route is child/buggy friendly. All participants will be entered for a free draw & spot prizes. Refreshments will be provided in the Recreation Hall after the walk. The proceeds of the walk will be donated to the recently opened palliative care 15 bed unit in Kerry General Hospital. Last year’s walk raised €2,197. 00. Donations will be accepted on the day. Please support all welcome.

The County Finals of Sult na nÓg for music, storytelling and singing took place on Saturday March 10th at the Tralee IT South Campus while the set dancing was staged at Fossa Community Centre. KILCUMMIN NS OPEN DAY

Kilcummin N.S. will be holding an Open Day for all prospective students and their families on Thursday 22nd March, from 2.15pm–4pm. FASHION SHOW LAUNCH

A Designer Showcase will be held at the Great Southern Hotel, hosted by the Norma O’Donoghue Model Agency, in association with Kilcummin N.S./ Community Hall. This spectacular fashion show will be held on Thursday 19th April. There will be a drinks reception at 7pm, followed by the Designer Fashion Show at 7.30pm. There will be a fabulous door prize, spot prizes and a prize for the Best Dressed Lady on the night. Tickets cost €25 and are available at Kilcummin N.S. 064 6643163, Quill’s Killarney and other outlets in Killarney. Funds raised will go towards the completion of the magnificent hall in Kilcummin.

MORIARTY SCHOOL OF DANCING

Congratulations to all our young dancers who represented Kilcummin Comhaltas at the recent Sult na nÓg County Finals. The U9 Ladies and Mixed sets won their respective competitions while the U11 Mixed and ladies won gold and silver respectively in their competitions. A big thank you to all who supported them on the day.

KILLARNEY CAMERA CLUB

Killarney Camera Club members are holding an exhibition of their works at Killarney Library from Thursday 22nd March to Saturday 7th April during library opening hours. The exhibition will be officially launched by Keith Woodard=E2€=8B on Thursday 22nd March at 7pm. Also, a free recycling workshop will take place at Killarney Library on Tuesday 27th March at 6.30pm. Free admission to both events.

FUNDRAISING - County Fleadh Church gate collection on March 31st and April 1st

Kilcummin Comhaltas are holding flag day on April 7th. We will have Street Entertainment time for this to be confirmed

April 15th–Easter egg hunt in Paric an Phobail from 3.30pm to 4.00pm, with an Afternoon of Entertainment by Comhaltas in the Village Inn.

Scoil Fonn 2018 will be held on Saturday 14th April 2018 in IT Tralee NORTH Campus. Scoil Fonn comprises of tutor led workshops on slow air playing on fiddle, flute/ whistle and Traditional singing, both English & Irish. Also on again this year, by popular demand, is the Slide and Polka workshop.

U14 DIV 1 - Ballyhar 0 Mastergeeha 1. In a close game against the league leaders the boys took all three points. Mark O’Shea got the winning goal with all playing well especially Dara O’Callaghan at centre back.

FAI SOCCER SISTERS EASTER CAMP - The FAI Soccer Sisters Easter Camp will be held at Mastergeeha Fc, Kilbrean Park on the 26th and 27th March 2018. Soccer camp for girls’ age 6-14 years of age with a kit included. Camp Registration at www.soccersisters.ie for €30. All welcome
