Deloitte award for Listowel H2 Group
H2 Group, a Listowel based retail company, has won the Gold Standard Award and been named as one of Ireland’s Best Managed companies for the fourth year in a row at the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards.
The company, which demonstrated superior business performance, was recognised at an awards gala dinner in Dublin on March 15 which was attended by over 800 people from the Irish business community.
H2 Group own and operate a network of Spar Service Stations and convenience stores in Ireland across nine locations and currently employ over 220 people nationwide.
The company own and operate two Spar outlets in Listowel in addition to its having head office in Clieveragh, Listowel.
“We are delighted to have received this award and honoured to join a select list of Gold Standard companies. It is a huge achievement for all our team and gives recognition to our continuous hard work and dedication to the highest standards,” said H2 Group Managing Director Sean Heaphy.
Deloitte Partner, Anya Cummins, explained the background to the the awards
“2018 marks the 10th year of the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards. The programme represents companies from different industries with many industry-specific challenges but also common characteristics such as adaptability, innovation and ambition,” she said.
“Their stories are the stories of Irish business this past decade, and they are stories of resilience, recovery and confidence,” said Anva Cummins.
Aside from the H2 Group there are three other Kerry firms in the Deloitte Best Managed programme.
They are the Garvey Group, Freeflow and Fexco
