The Kerryman (South Kerry Edition)

A huge period of action ahead for our golf club

-

A ‘Get Into Golf Ladies Programme’ will tee off on this very Wednesday evening, April 11, 2018 from 7pm to 8pm.

The idea is to give people who may be thinking they’d like to get into Golf a way in and a start in the game.

The programme includes: lessons with a PGA professional; activities with club members; follow-on membership offers, and equipment will be supplied. Lessons involved in the programme include: chipping, putting and tips on the long game. It’s all in a friendly and fun environment with an eight-week beginner programme and lessons with a professional and an on-course scramble for lady members. For further information on the programme you can contact: Bertha O’Sullivan on 086 0555610 or osullivanbertha@yahoo.co.uk

And there’s an exciting and new idea, new to Castleisland at least, of night time golf. Lunar Golf Events is a company which specialises in providing night golf events across the island of Ireland. The company says that its concept is adaptable to social, fundraising, and corporate events incorporating anything from a one-hole nearest-to-pin challenge to a full nine-hole competition. “It creates a memorable atmosphere throughout the golf course and gives golfers the opportunity to experience the sport in unique and exciting circumstances like never before,” a spokesperson said.

Lunar Golf is coming to Castleisland Members’ Golf Club on Friday, May 4, 2018.

The event is open to members and visitors.

Check-in time is at 9pm with a start at 10pm. The fee for this early-summer madness is €35 per head and you can book at the clubhouse anytime from now on.
