Causeway maintain their 100% record in county league

CAUSEWAY top the Credit Union Co. senior hurling league Division 1 with a 100% record after their three games to dates.

In Round 3 they had an impressive 0-19 to 0-8 away win over Ballyduff. Crotta and Kilmoyley lie in second position on four points each.

The following Round 4 games are scheduled for this weekend: Ballyheigu­e v Ballyduff; Causeway v Lixnaw; Crotta O’Neill’s v St. Brendan’s and Abbeydorne­y v Kilmoyley. Check locally with clubs for exact fixture details.

LEE Strand Under 16 County Hurling League Division 1 results from last week: Abbeydorne­y 1-16 Crotta O’Neill’s 0-8; Ballyduff 3-5 Kenmare/Kilgarvan 0-3; Ballyheigu­e 2-10 Crotta O’Neill’s 1-5.

Round 5 goes ahead on this Thursday evening, April 12 at 6.30pm: Division 1 - Ballyheigu­e v Abbeydorne­y; Ballyduff v Crotta; Kenmare/Kilgarvan bye. Division 2 – Tralee Parnell’s v Lixnaw; St. Brendan’s v Kilmoyley.

Just one game survived the weather in the Lee Strand under 12 hurling league last weekend when Firies had an 8-6 to 3-4 win over St. Brendans B squad. Round 2 goes ahead with a full programme in all 3 Divisions on this Friday, April 13, 7pm.

Fixtures are: Division 1 – Ballyheigu­e v Lixnaw, Kenmare/Kilgarvan v Abbeydorne­y; Crotta v Ballyduff. Division 2 – Causeway v South Kerry; Kilmoyley v Tralee Parnells; St. Brendan’s bye. Liam Goggin (Causeway) will be the Under 14 hurling co-ordinator.

North Kerry

ROUND 2 of the North Kerry Intermedia­te Hurling League goes ahead on this Friday evening, April 13, 6.45pm with the following games scheduled.

Group 1 - Crotta v Lixnaw; Kilmoyley v Ladys Walk; Group 2 - Austin Stacks v Causeway; St. Brendans v Ballyheigu­e.

Hurling Cúl Camps 2018

THE 2018 Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps for Hurling in Kerry will take place as follows: Ardfert & Rathmore (2 – 6 July), Lixnaw & Ballyduff (9 - 13 July); Ballyheigu­e & Kenmare (16 - 20 July); Abbeydorne­y & Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney (23 - 27 July); Causeway (30 July – 3 August); Crotta O’Neill’s – Dromakee

(6 – 10 August) and Kilmoyley & Tralee Parnell’s - Caherslee (13 – 17 August).

Cost for 2018 remains at €60 per child with reductions for additional members of families. Open to primary school children, boys and girls between 6 and 13 years of age.

Mondays to Fridays, 10am – 2.30pm daily.
