Colaiste na Sceilge to host Under 13 skills competition

THE South Kerry Under 13 Skills Competition will take place This Thursday April 12 in Colaiste Na Scellige GAA Grounds at 5.30pm Sharp.

The County Final is pencilled in for April 26, time and venue to TBC.

Coaching Course

CONGRATS to Laune Rangers Figure Dancers, Glenbeigh/Glencar Inst Music & Beauforts Sean nÒs Dancer who will represent Mid Kerry in the Scòr na bPaistì County Finals Sunday 22 April at 2pm in Foilmore Community Centre.

Skills

THE Mid Kerry Under 13 Skills Competition will take place on Thursday 19th of April in Beaufort GAA Grounds at 5.30pm Sharp.

Please let relevant coaches know in your clubs to Run an eternal competition for this age group and use the skills that were given out over the last few weeks. Top three winners will go through to represent the club in divisional finals.

Blitz

WELL done to all who took part in this years blitz especially Milltown Castlemaine and who took part in the Under 8s and Under 10 blitz. This gives clubs at this age group a great opportunity to play against teams they wouldn’t normally do during the year, and gains valuable experience and confidence. THE second night of South Kerry Board Foundation Coaching Course takes place in Colaiste Na Sceilge this Friday April 13 at 7pm sharp. 35 coaches were in attendance the first night which is great to see.

GDA PJ Reidy is Tutor for the course which incorporates both theory and practical.

Go Games Blitz

WELL done to all who took part in this years Blitz especially South Kerry representatives Sneem Derrynane and Waterville who took part in the Under 10 blitz. This gives clubs at this age group a great opportunity to play against teams they wouldn’t normally meet during the year, and gains valuable experience and confidence.

Open Trials

PJ Reidy GDA South / Mid Kerry will be delivering coaching sessions for South Kerry / Mid Kerry Under 15 club players on Saturday April 14 and 20 at 10am, venue TBC.

Tadgh McCarthy (University of Limerick Sports Science placement) and Eoghan Mchroan (ITT) will be supporting over the two days. This is for all club players in South and Mid Kerry that wish to try out for the Kerry South Under 15 team in 2018.

These are open coaching sessions clubs may send in players they feel will be capable of playing at this level. Kerry South Under 15 management will be in attendance. Full attendance is expected. Contact PJ Reidy GDA for further details.
