Helen chaired the monthly meeting in Ionad na Dromoda on Monday night April 9th. Bridie O’ Sullivan gave a very interestin­g talk on her recent visit to Qatar with her husband Brendan where they spent a week with their son Kieran his wife Aoife and their children Eanna and Sadhbh. Kathleen O’ Sullivan and Mary Daly won raffle prizes and Eileen O’ Sullivan and Maire O’ Connor served a delicious supper.

IVERAGH COAST GUARD

On Easter Sunday Iveragh Coast Guard was tasked to assist a walker with a lower leg injury who had fallen on the Kerry Way. After locating the person, the 10 members of the Coast Guard team treated the injuries and stretchere­d the casualty to the nearest road. They were then transferre­d to the National Ambulance Service (NAS) and taken to University Hospital Kerry Tralee for further treatment of what was a double fracture. to Waterville girls Shonagh Fitzpatric­k, Lauren Curran, Leanne O Sullivan, Brianna O’ Sullivan, Aoife Dwyer and Leah Dwyer who together with their Southern Gaels colleagues won the Kerry girls Feile football final on Sunday last. We wish them every good luck as they now go on to represent kerry in the All Ireland finals in June.
