IT’S hardly ground-breaking to suggest that music is one of the most important parts of any wedding ceremony since time immemorial. Weddings are a time for celebration and you shouldn’t hold back when it comes to selecting music. Few of us will have ever attended a wedding reception and not heard music marking the occasion, and for good reason too.

But while the post-ceremony part of the day tends to take up most of a couple’s musical focus, it’s worth exploring other options. When used intelligently and effectively, music burns a permanent place in the memory of an event, be it sad or celebratory. Did you ever notice why major box office movies hire the best musical directors? It’s because music enhances scenes and pathos like nothing else can.

Your wedding day is all about visuals and by adding nice, soft, quality music you will be enhancing the memory of your special day for everyone present. We all know the post-reception band is important as everyone is looking forward to enjoying themselves. But you should also consider the addition of music at other times during the wedding day. Why not hire a soprano for the church? Or classical musician? There’s no shortage of musicians and trained singers these days. Do some research into the list of musicians and singers in your area and put some extra effort into music for your wedding. It’ll be like something from the movies, literally!
