Create a nostalgic photo medley on your wedding day

-

YOUR wedding day marks a new chapter in life and there’s really no better way to celebrate this abridgment between the old and new than to roll out some old photos and get the nostalgia levels pumping. Ever since the saturation of social media, pictures have spread like wildfire in a manner unthinkable say 50 years ago. But the majority of our really old and intimate family pics, thankfully, pre-date the age of the selfie.

A wedding day presents the perfect occasion to show people how we posed for photos back in the day. Old family pics embellishing wedding days is a big trend in the US and truth be known it adds a lovely personal touch to the day. Why not spent the next few weeks with your partner and family picking out old photos (the best ones, of course!)? You could then arrange with the venue to perhaps assign you a designated section of the lobby wall to attach the photos.

This will prove a hit with guests and it’s also a great way of including loved ones in the day who have passed away. You’re also bound to have one or two old pics of the bridesmaid and best man at a younger time in life which they’ll only be delighted that you shared! As well as a ‘pic wall’ you can also hang them randomly around the hotel at various points to catch the attention of passing guests. Old family photos will add plenty of warmth, wit and welcome to your wedding day, of that you can be sure.
