CONGRATULATIONS to Kilcummin on wining the Intermediate Football Final over Glenfesk on Sunday last. It was great to see two clubs from the district in the final. Glenfesk can be proud and have a great future ahead of them with so many young players coming through the ranks.

Senior League

CURROW took on Firies at home in round 5 of the East Kerry Super League on Tuesday evening last.

As it rained all day underfoot conditions were quite poor. Firies were first on the scoreboard with two points, but Currow levelled matters within the quarter hour. The Currow keeper pulled off a great save but the rebound fell favourable for the inrushing forward and he finished to the net.

That left the half-time score Firies 1-5 Currow 0-5. At the beginning of the second half conditions got even worse and the players were almost unable to keep their footing.

It was nip and tuck for most of the second half but Firies scored a goal and a point in the last minutes to give them a comfortable lead at the end. Final score Firies 2-13 Currow 0-12.
