KILLARNEY LEGION

-

U14 FÉILE: Well done to our u14’s who qualified to represent Kerry after two tough qualifying games in Derreen but in the process keeping up a fine record by the club in the same competition. The first V Fossa was indeed a tight affair with an early goal giving the visitors the advantage which necessitated two wonder goals from distance by Conor Gammell to save the day. Onwards to the final where the Legion boys faced another testing encounter against a very good Firies side. Once again it took another spectacular goal this time from Jack O Neill from a free to see his side home. Undoubtedly the experience gained from these two difficult opponents will stand the Legion side in good stead. The same team also registered a solid win against Kenmare in the league which shows the potential in the panel. KERRY LADIES: Congratulations to John Doona and his Kerry u14 side who comfortably saw off Tipperary in a rather contentious replay, having considered to have infringed on the ‘’sin bin’’rules they put the set back behind them to deliver a great display registering a whopping 7-5

in the process. Comhghairdeas freisin to Tara Murphy and Keri Ann Hanrahan who were part of the victorious Kerry u16’s who won the Munster title against Tipperary. Once again the ladies section shows the progress and high standard it has reached in a short number of years. FIXTURE - Co. League, Rd 3, Killarney Legion V Kerins O Rahillys, Derreen at 7p. m.
