JUNIOR CO LEAGUE: Kilcummin 7-12 Laune Rangers 2-12. A great overall team performanc­e saw Kilcummin convincing winners in this rd 1 game. First half goals

from Kieran Nagle and Willie Maher set them up well but second half goals from David Hickey and Oscar O’Connor twice finished the game as a competitio­n. Kieran Fleming pulled off a great save in the final minute as Laune Rangers kept on trying to the end.

SENIOR FOOTBALL - Kilcummin 1-27 Currow 1-14. Our lads kept up their good form and had a comprehens­ive victory over neighbours Currow in Kilcummin on Saturday last. Matthew Keane was scorer in chief with nine points to his name in a man of the match performanc­e. Brendan Kealy executed two great saves and kicked two frees in a first half that saw Kilcummin pull away and lead by 9 points at the break. The excellent Kieran Murphy and Sean O’Leary were replaced at half time by John McCarthy and James Nagle respective­ly and both lads had great performanc­es John kicking three points from play while James got a great goal. Mikey O’ Shea also gave a great performanc­e kicking four points, while Sean Moynihan settled in well on his debut scoring the teams final score.
