DEATH

Maura Dwyer nee Walsh of Beenbane and formerly of Cooryvanaheen died peacefully in St. Joseph’s Nursing Home Killorglin on Tuesday May 22nd in the presence of her 12 children. Her remains were removed from Fitzgerald Funeral Home to St. Finian’s Church on Wednesday evening. Waterville G.A.A. members formed a Guard of Honour at her removal. Fr Gerard Finucane P.P. and Fr. Padraig Sugrue Mastergeedy celebrated her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Fr. Larry Kelly P.P. Cahirciveen also attended. Roisin Ryan sang and played at Mass. Mike Teahan sang at the Graveside. She was laid to rest with her husband Donal who died in July 2013. Maura is survived by her sons John, Dan, James, Paddy, Michael, and Denis, Daughters Catherine, Mary, Helena, Bridget, Noreen and Bernie, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, sons in-law, daughters in law, brothers James, John and Paddy, sisters Breda and Helena, nephews, nieces and relatives and friends to whom we offer our sincere sympathy. Congratulations to Ciaran O’Connell for winning his race in the J14 Single Schull at the Castleconnell Sprint Regatta on Saturday 19th May. Well done also to Aoife Murphy and Jane O’Connor who competed in the J16 Double Schull and to Maureen Murphy who competed in the Masters Ladies .
