Strong Fossa claim Division Two honours

-

CUMANN NA MBUNSCOL DIVISION 2 FINAL

FIRIES, appearing in their first Division 2 Allianz Cumann na mBunscol final, came up against an extremely strong Fossa side that would have been very competitive in this year’s Division One competition. The Firies girls fought bravely throughout and competed for every ball but came up against an uncompromising defence.

In Louise Kennedy, Laura Power, Kayleigh butler, Siún Horgan and Doireann O’Shea they had excellent performers. Fossa had top class finishers in Elizabeth Coffey, Olivia Gaffey, Ava O’Neill, Emma Griffin and Rachel Wallace and in midfielders Abby Murphy and Lucy O’Sullivan they have players for the future.

Alica Cummins and Alison Butler were the pick of a well organised defence as they ran out comprehensive winners to claim the title.
