A NEW management team has been put in place to lead two Tralee hotels.
Ruth O’Sullivan has been appointed as the Group General Manager for both The Ashe Hotel and Manor West Hotel.
She brings with her to Tralee, 18 years of experience in the hotel industry in Kerry. Prior to taking up her appointment in The Ashe Hotel, Ruth was the General Manager at Parknasilla Resort & Spa from 2013.
“I was attracted by the challenge that this new role presented. I am committed to developing both properties in their unique way, both hotels offer our guests a different experience but complement each other at the same time with teams that have an underlying passion for excellence,” said Ms O’Sullivan.
Ruth’s former colleague in Parknasilla, Padraic Hanrahan, will assume the role of Deputy General Manager at The Ashe Hotel.
Leonie Flaherty, who has been employed at The Ashe Hotel since it first opened its doors in April 2015, has been appointed Group Sales and Marketing Manager for both The Ashe Hotel and Manor West Hotel.
She first worked as a part-time receptionist while studying for her degree in Digital Marketing and Social Media before taking on the role of Sales and Marketing Executive in January 2017.
Leonie was recently awarded the Connect Kerry Rising Star Award for women in business.
The Ashe Hotel also has a new Head Chef, Lukasz Wacnik.
A native of Poland, Lukasz has moved across town from The Ashe Hotel’s sister property, Manor West Hotel and with him comes over 14 years of culinary experience.
Proprietor of The Ashe Hotel, Colin Boyle, said he was pleased to welcome the new management team.
“I am delighted to welcome Ruth, Padraic and Lukaz to The Ashe and to congratulate Leonie on her new role. These key appointments are an investment in the long term operational performance and growth of the hotel as we seek to build on the excellent work already carried out and continue the personal and attentive service, for which the hotel is renowned,” he said.
