Officers are chosen by St Mary’s for the new basketball year

IN advance of a season during which the senior ladies will re-enter national league action, St Mary’s Basketball Club held its annual general meeting last week.

The following officers were elected:

President: Fr. Noel Spring; Chairman: Eamon Egan; Vice-chairman: Maurice Casey; Senior Secretary: Fiona O’Connor; Registrati­ons and Assistant Secretary: Reidín O’Loughlin; Juvenile Secretary: Jennifer Ahern; Treasurers: Donal O’Connor, Síle Kenny, Angela O’Donoghue, Bríd Kenny, Reidín O’Loughlin and Nelius Lyons; Developmen­t Officer: Michael Broderick; Juvenile Officer: Bríd Kenny; Venue Officer: Eamon Egan; Tournament Director: Donal O’Connor; Tournament Secretarie­s: Reidín O’Loughlin and Fiona O’Connor; Academy: Joan Nolan; PRO: Liz Galwey; Committee: Aoife Nolan, Theresa Curtin and Tracey Hartnett O’Connell.

The outgoing Chairman, Maurice Casey, thanked everyone for their work during the year and made reference to the fact that it had been a good year both locally and nationally for the club.

He went on to wish the national league ladies team the best for the season and to wish the incoming Chairman, Eamon Egan, the very best in his new position.
