It was Newbridge or nowhere and for Mayo it was the end of the line...
Colm Parkinson @Woolberto
Some win for Kildare. Fully deserved. They’re a very good footballing team. Home advantage counts, imagine administrators tried to take that off them
Tomás Ó Sé @tomas5ky
Fair play to @KildareGAA Fully deserved win. Really tough physical match with some great scores and skills on display. Mayo finally ran out of runway and can have no complaints. Beaten by better team. Didn’t see it coming but fair play what a week for all involved

As great as Kildare were against Mayo, I feel as though they will struggle against a defensive Fermanagh. Kildare seem to play great when it’s two attacking teams. Against Carlow they seemed lost and will be very similar against Fermanagh. #Kildare #Fermanagh
Joe Brolly @JoeBrolly1993 The trick is to play for something bigger than yourself and Kildare found that place today Nathan Murphy @nathanmurf
No pressure Kildare but the team that has beaten Mayo in each of the last 6 seasons has gone on to win the All Ireland...

Cian O’Neill takes a lot of stick for his modern approaches to coaching. He played the venue saga well and got a serious reaction from his side. Deserves a lot of credit after last night.
Ger Gilroy @gergilroy
Kildare’s greatest win since 2000. Amazing, and it proves why democracy matters. Incredible performance from a team that deserves endless respect. WOO HOO
Thomas Niblock @thomasniblock Kildare. Justified. Took on the establishment & won. Full of respect for them. Deserve their success Ronan Flanagan @ronanfla83 The best evening ever in Newbridge as a Kildare fan. Well done to everyone involved. Paul Shaughnessy @PaulShaughnes13
An exceptional from the Kildare footballers last night. Kevin Feely was outstanding with some sublime fielding and Paul Cribben was immense at centre forward. Kildare
are now in a real good position to progress to the super eights. Eoghan Lowe @EoghanHighe
Was not expecting that result, fair play @KildareGAA! Paul Cribben man of the match for me, kept kildare in it in the early second half. The scenes of fans on the pitch with the players after the match is what the @officialgaa is all about, community and county pride.

I wonder who is going to play Cian O’Neill when they make the movie about Kildare going from being knocked out of Leinster by Carlow to winning the All-Ireland
