Difficult return for Kerry to the Under 17 league
SSE AIRTRICITY U17 LEAGUE
Cobh Ramblers 2 Kerry 1
KERRY got back to their league programme after a few weeks off making the journey to Cork to play Cobh Ramblers on Sunday.
In general it was a tight game but unfortunately Kerry slumped to another defeat. They went two goals in arrears in the first half but a Boki Nikic goal brought them right back into the game.
They did their best to try and etch out an equaliser, but when the home side scored again it was a bridge too far. They are now without a win in 10 outings and remain rooted at the foot of the table.
They are on their travels again next Saturday where they face Wexford at Ferrycarrig Park with a 2pm kick off.
Four days later – Wednesday July 11 – they head for Bishopstown to play Cork City in the second round of the Mark Farren Cup with the kick off at 7pm.
Their next home game is on July 15 against Cabinteely FC.
