1. A WALK TO REMEMBER IN BALLYBUNION
THE ‘Walk to Remember’ 5km charity walk will take place in Ballybunion on Saturday July 9.
The walk will begin outside the Sea Rescue Base on Ladies Beach at 2pm and it will see people walking across the beach; this walk is suitable for people of all ages and abilities.

2. EXCITEMENT AHEAD FOR VINTAGE RALLY
SUNDAY, July 8 sees the annual Mid Kerry Vintage Rally return to Brackhill, Castlemaine. Everything from steam engines, threshing machines, lines of old tractors, cars and trucks; vintage farm machinery, a butter making machine, old style hand tools - you name it, if its vintage, it will be there on the day.
Now in its 7th year, over €100,000 has been raised through the event for cancer support services in Kerry. It starts at 12:30pm.
3. IT’S 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION TIME IN KILLARNEY
IT’S that time of year again in Killarney when they celebrate all things American as part of their July 4 festivities.
As part of the celebrarions today, there will be a flag raising ceremony in the town, a fireworks display, a parade through the centre of the town, a Wild West troupe and street entertainment.

4. SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR RING OF KERRY CYCLE
ORGANISERS of the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle are encouraging anyone who is still interested in signing up to do so this week.
Now into its 35th year, the cycle is the biggest one day charity fundraising event in the country.
This years cycle takes place this Saturday July 7 and anyone interested in signing up can do so at www.ringofkerrycycle.ie
5. BALLYHEIGUE GETS READY FOR SUMMER FESTIVAL
IF this recent good weather is anything to go by, then the upcoming Ballyheigie Summer Festival is going to be a roaring success.
Taking place from July 1 to July 8, there is a fantastic line up of events over the week to keep everyone entertained.
Events include nature walks, childrens treasure hunts, soccer blitzes, comedy nights, table quizzes, pig racing, dog shows, family fun days, puppet shows and wheelbarrow races.

6. LEGALLY BLONDE IN THE IN INEC
THE highly anticipated ‘Legally Blonde’ musical arrives into the INEC on Saturday July 14.
Tickets for the show are set to cost from €27.90 upwards and are on sale now. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.
7. FAMILY FUN DAY AT KILLARNEY LEISURE CENTRE
A FAMILY fun day and a strongman/woman event will take place next week in the Killarney Sports and Leisure Centre.
The event will start at 1pm and will be in aid of the Kerry/Cork Health Link Bus and on the day, there will be free spectator admission, bouncy castles, facepaint, a live DJ and free massages.

8. TRALEE TO HOLD CHARITY COLOUR RUN
A fundraising colour run for CMRF Crumlin will take place later this month.
The 5km colour dash takes place on Sunday July 15 at 11am from the Tralee Bay Wetlands; this event is open to all walkers, joggers and runners.

9. CLIMB FOR ‘CONCERN’ TAKES PLACE THIS WEEK
THE ‘Climb 4 Concern’ charity climb is taking place next month and the charity are inviting as many members of the public to take part in the challenge as possible.
The challenge will see people climbing Carrauntoohill on Sunday July 7. Registration for this climb is just €25 while the minimum sponsorship needed to be raised for the event is €100.

10. GET EXERCISING THIS WEEKEND WITH PARKRUN
WHY not try to head down to take part in one of the many parkruns taking place around Kerry at the weekends?
There are five parkruns in Kerry: Tralee, Killarney, Listowel, Inch Beach and the Tralee junior parkrun.
These free 5km events are run every weekend by volunteers and they have been proven to be extremely popular in improving both physical and mental health.
The Tralee. Listowel and Killarney parkruns are held every Saturday morning from 9:30am onwards while the Tralee Junior parkrun takes place on Sunday at 9:30am - these 2km events are aged for children from 4-14 years old. People can register and print off their barcode at parkrun.ie.
