Fenit Kilfenora road funding

MINISTER for Public Works Kevin Boxer Moran has announced that his department is allocating €176,166 to Kerry County Council to fund a detailed design for the coast road between Kilfenora and Fenit.

The news was welcomed by Sinn Féin’s Martin Ferris.

“When Minister Boxer Moran first took up his role in the department, he gave me a commitment to visit Fenit to see for himself the serious issues with the road. True to his word, he visited Fenit in July 2017, where both I and Cllr Toireasa Ferris showed him at first-hand the extent of the coastal erosion and its affect on the road. I want to thank him publicly for his commitment to provide the initial funding to progress the badly needed upgrade,” he said.
