KERRY natives Annie O’Donoghue, Workmens Rowing Club; Eimear Crowley, Kenmare RC; and Rhianon O’Donoghue and Anna Tyther, Killorglin RC have been selected as part of Team Ireland for the upcoming Coupe de la Jeunesse, a prestigious competition which this year is being hosted in Ireland.

The Coupe de la Jeunesse is an annual international junior rowing regatta, open to rowers 18 years or under, and it is rowed over 2,000 metres.

Under coaches Pat McInerney, Dan Buckley, John Walsh and team manager Emily Dulohery, the rowers will take part in single, double and quad sculls, and in the sweep category eights, fours and pairs.

It will take place from July 27 to 29, and is set to be held in Cork for the third time, after the rebel county hosted it previously in 1999 and 2008.
