Tahilla man put off road for two years for drink-driving
A TAHILLA man was put off the road for two years on a charge of drunken driving, in Blackwater, when his case came before Kenmare District Court on Friday.
Con Clifford of Boolanavane, Tahilla, was charged with driving with excess alcohol at Lackeen, Blackwater, on May 7, 2015. The court heard he had a reading of 47mgs per 100mls breath.
The court heard that he had previous convictions for drunken driving in 2009 and in 1997.
The 62-year old was also fined €400 for the offence. He was also charged with driving without a license, arising out of the same incident, and was convicted and fined €100.
