KILGOBNET 4 MILER
The 29th annual Fr. Michael Kelliher memorial 4 mile race and walk will take place on Friday 20th July at 8pm in Kilgobnet, Beaufort. Entry fee for runners is 12Euro while walkers can pay a donation. Entries will be taken at Kilgobnet N.S.. As well as prizes for the top 3 male & female finishers there will be a souvenir medal for all finishers. All profits of this years race are going to Tir Na nOg Orphanage in Tanzania which was set up by Louise Quill who teaches locally in Scoil Mhuire, Killorglin.
ST KIERAN’S VISIT
St Kieran’s GAA Club in London visited Beaufort with their U16 football team last weekend. Their club and mentors wish to thank sincerely their host families in Beaufort and the Beaufort GAA for the great hospitality shown to them on their visit.
KILLARNEY LIBRARY
Lydia O’Hara will host a ceramics theatre props and photography exhibition at Killarney Library from Friday 6 – Saturday 14 July. Free admission.
SYMPATHY
Sympathy is extended to Nora O’Connor and family, Gap of Dunloe on the death of her husband, Michael after a brief illness. A guard of honour by St Marys Pioneer members marked his lifelong membership. His life involved with tourists in the Gap of Dunloe was marked by a guard of honour by the pony men.
