UNDER-12s: Mid Kerry League result: Cromane 5-18, Laune Rangers C 4-11 The Cromane under-12s got the Mid Kerry League campaign off to a fine start last Friday evening. They travelled to Killorglin to take on our neighbours, Laune Rangers, in this opening game. Some of the highlights included an excellent goal from Sean Keane as well as some fine saves from goalkeepers, Jamie Casey (in the first half) and Cormac Riordan (second half). Conor Hayes also kicked a mighty point. Every player put in a determined and positive performance, well done to all. Next up is a game at home in Cromane against Milltown-Castlemaine this Friday at 7pm.

Panel: Jamie Casey, Sian Corkery, Sadhbh Casey, Alex Scannell, Ryan O’Connor, Conor Hayes, Ben Sugrue, Jack McGrath, Saoirse Harkin, Sean Keane, Anthony Diggin, Cormac Riordan, Liam Hayes, John Brendan Horgan, and Liam McGrath. UNDER-14s: Under-14 Central Region (round 3) result: Glenbeigh-Glencar/Cromane (GGC) 4-7, Milltown-Castlemaine 5-10 The GGC under-14s fell to their first defeat in the Central Region competition in Milltown last Monday evening. They had come out on top in their opening two games against An Ghaeltacht and Castlegregory but found Milltown-Castlemaine tougher to handle. GGC led at half-time but couldn’t hold this lead as Milltown-Castlemaine took the spoils.

They played Churchill last Monday in the same competition with their next game away to Ardfert next Monday (July 16) at 7pm.

Panel: Sean Scannell; Keith Moriarty, Liam O’Neill, Darragh Crosby, Matthew Naughton, Cian Lyons, Tony Óg Duffy, Noah Falvey, Jason O’Connor, Derry O’Sullivan, Charlie Foley, Kealan O’Sullivan, Colm Kingdon, Fionn O’Sullivan, Seamus Moriarty. MID KERRY MINORS: The Mid Kerry minors, captained by our own Conor Sugrue, take on Kenmare District in Kenmare next Monday (July 16) in their second group game in the county championship.

Cromane have four players involved with the Mid Kerry minors this year. With Conor are Cathal Crosby, Kieran O’Sullivan, and Jack O’Sullivan. JUNIOR LEAGUE: Group 5 result: Cromane 0-16, Listry 2-12

The Cromane =91B’ team took on Listry in their final County Junior League game in Cromane last Friday. Prior to the game they still had an outside chance of progressing to the knockout stages but came up just short. A feature of the game was two points from play from our roving goalkeeper.

This competition has proved to be worthwhile as it gives some of our younger (and older) players the opportunity to play competitive football. After the game the players enjoyed some refreshments in the glorious weather.

TRAINING: Underage training (under-6s to under-10s) is back up and running at the field on Sunday mornings. We aim to get started each Sunday at 11.15am.

Come along to have some craic with friends on a Sunday morning as your child makes new friends while learning and improving their basics skills of Gaelic football.

Our underage group of coaches are extremely dedicated and provide an excellent platform for your child to improve as a player. There’s also the simple joys of mixing with other children, an important aspect of our underage training as they build team spirit. An Cromán Abú! FIXTURES:
