Ballybunion to take on Dooks in final
BALLYBUNION will take on Dooks in the West Munster Area final of the Irish Junior Cup at Killarney’s Killeen course on Wednesday next July 18 at 4pm.
Dooks had qualified from their section at Killorglin two weeks ago, but Ballybunion had an outstanding match home game to play against Doneraile at the Cashen course on Wednesday evening last where wins from their three teenagers Edmund Healy (3/2), Ronan Cross (2 Up) and James O’Callaghan (5/3) saw them across the line.
Ballybunion can call on all of last year’s All-Ireland winning panel again this year and with the addition of Edmund Healy, they look to be the team to beat again but won’t have it all their own way against Dooks as both sides will be out of their comfort zone on a parkland course, however, I’ll opt for a Ballybunion win by the odd match in five.
