KILCUMMIN

-

SENIOR FOOTBALL: Kilcummin had a good win over Ballymac on Saturday evening in Rd 10 of the Co. League. This win leaves our destiny in our own hands again as a win against Kenmare in the final game would see us promoted. In a tough physical encounter a goal by Noel Duggan before half time gave us an eight point lead at half time which we protected well in the second half. Final score Kilcummin 1-17 Ballymac 1-10. WELL DONE to Paul O’Shea and Keith O’Leary who represented Kerry minors in their victory over Roscommon last week-end. Croke Park now beckons for these two lads in a couple of weeks and let’s hope they will be joined by Kevin McCarthy and the Kerry seniors. That will be decided this Saturday against Kildare.

O SULLIVAN CUP: O Sullivan Cup Goals by Tadgh Ryan (2) and Dan Moynihan helped Kilcummin to a win over Spa in the competitions Q/F on Wednesday last. Final Score Kilcummin 2-21 Spa 0-8 MINORS: This hasn’t been a particularly easy year for our minors but guided by Seanie and Alan they have kept going and represented their club well. Missing Paul and Keith has made it more difficult but they have fielded teams throughout the year and this Thursday they continue with an away fixture against Glenflesk at 7.30pm
