Masquerade soirée on Friday

-

THE Cracow Park and Playground Valentia Island Committee will host a ‘Masquerade Summer Soirée’ on Friday, August 10, from 8pm in The Royal Hotel, Knightstown, Valentia Island.

The money raised will be used to upgrade the rubber matting in the local playground.

The playground has been in use for over 10 years and, due to general wear and tear, the ground needs to be re-surfaced with mulch. This is a vital and costly repair and will cost about €35,000 to be completed.

The committee explained that it strives to continually upgrade and improve the park to benefit all kids.

It will be an enjoyable night for all, and it’s a great way to bring the community together as the summer comes to an end.

Tickets prices have been set at €25 and can be purchased on the night.

They can also be purchased at The Royal Hotel, Walsh’s Foodstore, Boston’s Bar, Valentia Tourist Office, The Ring Lyne Bar, The Skellig Experience, Marianne O’Shea’s Hair Salon, Kitty’s Boutique in Cahersiveen, and Siopashoo Cahersiveen.

A champagne and canapés reception will also take place, with a free mask provided on the night.

Music on the night will be provided by Trad Waves, Bansha Boys, and DJ Tommy Gilligan

There will also be lots of raffle prizes and silent auction prizes up for grabs.
