Top global award goes to Quinlan’s salmon special
QUINLAN’S Irish smoked salmon has been recognised as the best in Ireland by the prestigious international Great Taste Awards.
Quinlan’s Superior and organic smoked salmon products have both been awarded two gold stars by the Independent Great Taste judges.
Great Taste, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, is the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink.
It has been described as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world and the ‘epicurean equivalent of the Booker prize’. Quite simply the Great Taste logo is the sign you can trust when buying food and drink in your local, quality retailer.
‘As a family we are very proud to be the only Irish smoked salmon to be awarded dual two stars in the renowned Great Taste Awards,” said Liam Quinlan.
“This is a great reward to our team who work hard each day in smoking fresh salmon with our age old traditional recipes and craft. This is great news after being judged the best smoked salmon in Ireland for the past four years at Blás na hÉireann Awards.

The support of our loyal team and customers who we love to supply the freshest of fish to is very import to us,” Liam Quinlan said.
Quinlan’s was established by Michael Quinlan in 1963 at Renard Point near Caherciveen. Michael still plays an active role in the business with his sons Liam, Ronan and Fintan and Michael’s grandchildren now also play a major role in the business.
The Quinlan family who land their own catch of fresh fish at Renard Point operate a number of award winning seafood restaurants in County Kerry and Cork city along with fresh fish shops as well as a modern fish processing plant at Renard Point.
