CLOTHING COLLECTION
Scartaglen Childcare Centre Fundraising Clothing Collection will take place on Tuesday 14th of August, our collectors will take clothing and paired shoes suitable for re-wear, bed linen (not duvets or pillows as we are charged for their disposal), curtains, handbags and belts. Our collection is on-going so if you miss this collection you can still drop bags to the Centre, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Thanks to all who have donated to date.
RAMBLING HOUSE
The August Rambling House get-together in the Heritage Centre will be on Monday evening August 13th commencing at 9pm. Admission free and a raffle and refreshments on the night.
AFTERNOON OF PRAYER
The next afternoon of prayer in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Scartaglin will be on Sunday August 19th when john Delaney will again be present. As always the prayer afternoon will commence with the Rosary at 2.30pm .All are welcome.
RURAL REGENERATION AND DEVELOPMENT
The Government has announced the establishment of a new €1billion Rural Regeneration and Development Fund to support the revitalisation of rural Ireland. The Minister for Rural and Community Development is now inviting proposals under the fund from interested parties. The deadline for submission of proposals for funding is 12 noon on Thursday September 27th 2018.
GAA LOTTO DRAW
Scartaglen GAA Clubs latest Lotto Draw took place on July 30th in O Connors Bar. There was no winner. The numbers drawn were: 3, 15, 19,28. Consolation prizewinners in the Lucky Dip were: E40 Jeremiah Daly, Scartaglen ; E30 Martin Lender, Newmarket ; Marie Fleming, Flemings Bar ; E20 Jack Galvin, Adriville ; Mary and Jer Dowd ; Kevin Lenihan, Knockrour. The next Lotto Draw will take place in Lyons Bar on 19th August when the jackpot will be 4,200.
